Bicycles first reached the country of New Zealand in the 1860’s.  Their frames were constructed out of wrought iron and their wheels were made of wood with a “tire” made of steel.  They were anything but comfortable and quickly earned the nickname of "boneshaker.”

Our Boneshakeur New Zealand Pilsner pays homage to the first bikes to enter the country by using Waimea and Wai-Iti hops, both of which are native to New Zealand. These hop varietals offer a delicate lemon, stone fruit, and pine aroma with a balanced and crisp bitterness.  Crisp, dry, and unique.
