SUMMARY

The Sales Representative will be focused on the promotion and sale of our company’s top-notch, high quality staple and seasonal brews. This position will be responsible for promoting the retail trade of the brewery and serving as the first point of contact from the brewery to retailer.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Focus on increasing market share of seasonal and staple brews through existing account base and new accounts.

  • Work with existing accounts on a designated schedule (i.e., weekly, biweekly, monthly) basis, with the goal of increasing package distribution on- and off-premise and increase draft presence in each market.

  • Identify new markets that are not being penetrated and develop plan to establish business relationships with these accounts.

  • Provide new and existing accounts with information about products, brand, quality,
    package, placement, presentation, new account openings, and key contacts.

  • Plan and execute a weekly/bi-weekly plan of goals and account calls within each wholesale territory and complete calls to local buyers, decision makers, and key account managers.

  • Plan and execute a promotional calendar and promotional events with key retailers geared towards building sales and distribution.

  • Improve conditions and merchandise accounts by building displays, resetting coolers, and
    displaying point of sale items to increase visibility of the brand.

  • Conduct wait staff and bartender trainings, beer tastings, and promotions.

  • Complete all required logs, paperwork, and forms to document sales and/or expenses.

  • Forecast seasonal brand execution and track results.

  • Completely understand and embrace brewery brands and culture, and deliver on our mission to the wholesale and retail customer.

  • Open new accounts through networking and other measures.

  • Deliver products to customers.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

  • Possess working knowledge of beer and craft beer industry.

  • Possess strong knowledge and enforcement of ABC laws.

  • Possess awareness of local, state, and federal health and sanitation laws.

  • Able to lift heavy objects (25 – 50 lbs.) on a continual basis. Able to transport up to 160 lbs. (full kegs) with assistance.

  • Able to stand, walk, lift, and bend for up to 8 hours per shift.

  • Able to work in crowded and confined spaces.

  • Able to maintain excellent customer service and high level of ethics while working under
    pressure.

  • Must possess a valid California’s Driver’s License of appropriate class for delivery vehicles and have documented safe driving for a minimum of 1 year.

  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background screening.
